1. Introduction

GAGE is a free sports prediction gaming app where users make YES/NO predictions on player statistics and compete in skill-based group competitions. GAGE is not a sportsbook or gambling platform — no money changes hands. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Email address, username, and password (stored as a secure hash)
• Date of birth and optional profile photo
• Predictions, competition history, friend connections, and in-app messages

Information Collected Automatically

• Device type/model, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, and mobile carrier
• Analytics data: sessions, features used, screens viewed, and crash reports
• Coarse location only (city, state, country) — we do NOT collect precise GPS location

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Social Security numbers or government IDs
• Financial information, bank accounts, or credit cards
• Biometric data or health data
• Contact lists or phone contacts
• Data from children under 13

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

1. Operate and maintain the GAGE platform
2. Facilitate competitions and score predictions
3. Connect you with friends and other competitors
4. Communicate with you about your account and the platform
5. Improve app performance and user experience
6. Ensure fair play and prevent cheating
7. Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for behavioral advertising.

4. Information Sharing

We only share your information with:

• Service providers (e.g., analytics platforms) bound by contract to protect your data
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights
• Business transfer parties in the event of a merger or acquisition (with advance notice to users)
• Third parties only with your explicit consent

5. Third-Party Services

Analytics: We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the app. These services collect usage events, device information, user identifiers, and IP addresses. Data is retained for up to 2 years. You may opt out by contacting privacy@gagesports.com.

Push Notifications: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, which can be disabled in your device settings.

We do not use advertising SDKs, ad networks, or behavioral advertising platforms.

7. Data Security

• Passwords hashed with bcrypt

• Periodic security assessments

No system is 100% secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

All users have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Withdraw consent at any time

We respond to all requests within 30 days (45 days for complex requests).

9. Children's Privacy

GAGE is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13-17 should have parental consent. We comply with COPPA and will delete any data collected from users under 13 upon discovery.

10. International Transfers

Data is processed in the United States. For users outside the US, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required to ensure adequate data protection.

11. State-Specific Rights

California (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

Virginia (VCDPA): You have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling.

Colorado (CPA): Similar rights to Virginia residents apply.

Nevada: You may opt out of the sale of personal information on request. Currently, no sales occur.

12. Do Not Track

DNT signals are not currently honored due to a lack of accepted standards. You may opt out of analytics via your account settings or by contacting us by email.

13. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of GAGE after changes constitutes acceptance.
